1.1 Information You Provide Directly

To provide core services, we collect the following information when you create a lending record in LentOut:

Item Information: Item name and a picture of the item you took.

Borrower Information: The name of the borrower you enter or select from your contacts, and their phone number (only retrieved when you select from your contacts).

Transaction Information: Lending date, agreed return date, and reminder date.

1.2 1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Usage Data: We may collect information about your interactions with the App, such as the functions you use and your operation logs (e.g., adding, deleting, marking items for return).

Device Information: To ensure service security and compatibility, we may collect anonymized information such as device model and operating system version.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Core Functionality Operation: Creating, displaying, and managing your lending records; sending you return reminder push notifications at the agreed time.

Communication Functions: Facilitates calls to borrowers upon your authorization (this function is only available when you select a borrower from your contacts).

Service Improvement: Optimizes product features and user experience by analyzing anonymized and aggregated usage data.

Legal Compliance: Complies with applicable U.S. federal and state laws and regulations.

We will not sell your personal information. We will share information only in the following limited circumstances:

With your consent: We will share information to the extent you instruct, with your explicit consent. For example, when you use the "Share" function within the app, you choose to share promotional content to a third-party social media platform.

Service Providers: We may engage third-party service providers (such as cloud service providers) bound by confidentiality obligations to assist in providing services; they may only process information for specific purposes as required by contract.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose necessary information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal proceedings, or where required by law.

Under certain U.S. state laws (such as California privacy law), you may have the following rights, all of which we provide a path to exercise through the product interface:

- Access and Correction: You can view a summary of item quantities on the "My" page and access and correct specific records through the card details page on the homepage.

- Deletion: You can remove lending records at any time using the delete function on the card. Under certain U.S. state laws, you can also request in writing the deletion of your personal information held by us.

- Opt-out Marketing: We currently do not conduct marketing promotions, therefore there is no such information sharing.

- Access Control: You can disable LentOut's access to your contacts and camera at any time through your device's system settings.

- Security Measures: We implement reasonable technical and administrative measures (such as encrypted transmission) to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.

- Data Retention: Your lending records will be retained until you actively delete them. If you uninstall the app or are inactive for an extended period, we will anonymize or delete your account and data after a reasonable period.
